The Girl

Her shoes
black converses
with tears on the sides

Her jeans
ripped at one knee
and fitted on tight

The scars
on her wrist, hidden
by a black wristband

Black tank
under the black sweater
she’d wear in the summer

Her body
thin and skinny
from her lack of eating

Her hair,
jet black it was dyed,
covering her green eyes

Black eyeliner
smeared by the tears
that she every day shed

The girl
with so many flaws;
with her, I fell in love
