auroras

luscious lips long for fingertips
a tickling causing quiet quivering
against zip-ties on his wrists

this disgraceful container of
romance so hopeless had died
a martyr and given way to lust

and each lung became teary-eyed
as the blood flow reanimated

the diaphragm spazzed as anxiety
disappeared from bird’s eye view

to some, this punishment is
shameful and shrinking and
they shun it unconditionally

but they don’t know the safety
in this lovely catastrophe
this electrical sugar rush

a celestial hammock among
azure auroras in the sky

shimmering miraculously
at dusk above the niagara
